Requirements

In order to get verified, users must have the following:

  • 🪪 Identity document such as passport, Identity card, residence permit or driver's license.

  • 🌞 A well-lit environment.

  • 🛜 Stable internet connection.

One-on-one call

Initiate the call

When the user receives the video KYC link you've already sent and opens it, Identomat's widget will open automatically in default browser.

Depending on specific configurations, users may need to complete certain steps, such as user agreements, before joining the call.

After completing all required steps, user's video call frame will appear. The frame includes a bottom panel with several buttons:

  • Audio - turns the microphone on or off.

  • Video - turns the camera on or off.

  • Flip - mirrors user's image.

  • Switch - changes between facial and back cameras, if available.

  • Join - initiates the call with the operator.

Join the call

After clicking the 'Join' button, a call to the operator in Manage will be initiated. The user will then be directed to a 'connecting' screen and will wait for the operator to answer the call.

On 'connecting' screen, a top panel will appear with call duration displayed in the left corner. Additionally, two buttons will be available on the right side:

  • Device settings - users can adjust device inputs, such as camera, microphone and speaker.

  • Full screen - user can open the video call frame in full screen or minimize it.

If the operator answers the call, the user will see the operator in the video call frame's right corner, outlined with a yellow stroke, indicating that they are now connected.

On the call process

Now that the operator and user are connected, the operator will conduct an interview with the user, asking questions about documents and other details. If the process indicates that the user must verify their identity, the operator will initiate the identity verification process, which may include document verification, liveness check, and other necessary steps.

Completing the call

After completing all the necessary verification steps during the video KYC process, the operator may inform the user about the decision. At this point, the process is considered complete, and either the user or the operator can end the call.

To end the call, user can click 'End' button, which will promt an additional dialog for confirmation.

Multi-user call

All the user manuals described above are applicable to the multi-user call flow as well. The key difference is that during the multi-user call, participants will be able to see and hear each other in addition to interacting with the operator.
